If you have a three or four year old in preschool, it’s that time of year where every conversation inevitably turns into a deep dive about “what’s next.” And for families navigating the harrowing process of private school admissions, these conversations can quickly turn existential.
There’s so many considerations: progressive or traditional? Uniforms or free dress? Teachers on first name basis or a strict code of conduct?
So, I made a quiz. It’s the kind where you answer questions and follow the arrows, kind of like those fun ones that used to be in Elle magazine where you’d find out what your best skincare routine is. Except at the end of this one, it tells you where you should spend the next six years and three hundred thousand dollars (per kid, pre annual fund).
Start at the top. Don’t cheat. (You’re going to cheat.)
So…what’d you get?
Remember, apply early, take a sabbatical so you can make all the not mandatory but also sort of mandatory admissions events, and good luck!
Disclaimer because my bestie is a lawyer: This post is a joke. It’s based only on my own observations from school tours and conversations with parents (many of them). None of it is fact, a ranking, or a review of any school, and every school on here is somebody’s great fit.
